Ballroom Dancing In Austin
We are a non-profit all volunteer social club dedicated to bringing ballroom dancing events and professional instruction to the Austin area at a reasonable price.
We specialize in ballroom, from the smooth waltz and foxtrot to the latin cha cha, rumba and bolero and, of course, the very popular West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing and many of the popular Country Western dance styles. All dances are taught before and practiced at our social dances.
We hope you will join in the fun with us. We are a friendly social club with something for everyone. Partners are not required; we love to mix it up.

ABD Board Position Vacancies
Social Media Director
Austin Ballroom Dancers (ABD) is seeking a Social Media Director to join our Board of Directors and help us promote ABD, grow our dance community, and increase awareness of our dances and activities.
The Social Media Director will:
Manage ABD’s social media presence, including Facebook.
Create and launch ABD’s new Instagram page and help build our presence on Instagram.
Create and post engaging content promoting ABD dances, special events, membership, and other activities.
Take photos at ABD dances and events for use on social media. When unable to attend, arrange for another Board member or volunteer to take photos.
Create or coordinate graphics, photos, videos, and other social media content.
Help promote upcoming dances before each event and share photos and highlights afterward.
Engage with followers and help expand ABD’s reach within the Austin dance community.
Coordinate with other Board members and the Webmaster to keep ABD’s online messaging current and consistent.
Who would be a good fit?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys social media, is creative and dependable, and would like to help Austin Ballroom Dancers grow. Experience with Facebook and Instagram is helpful, but you don’t need to be a social media professional.
This is a volunteer position on the ABD Board of Directors and is a great opportunity to use your creativity to support Austin’s ballroom dance community.

Membership Director
Austin Ballroom Dancers (ABD) is seeking a Membership Director to join our Board of Directors and help us strengthen and grow our membership. This is a volunteer Board position with a one-year term.
The Membership Director will:
Welcome new members and help them become involved with ABD.
Promote the benefits of ABD membership and encourage dancers who attend our events to become members.
Develop ideas and initiatives to increase membership and retain existing members.
Maintain accurate membership records and keep member contact information current.
Monitor new memberships and membership renewals.
Communicate with members regarding renewals and other membership matters.
Help identify members whose memberships are approaching expiration and encourage timely renewal.
Assist with membership sign-ups at ABD dances and special events.
Work with other Board members to develop membership promotions, recruitment efforts, and member benefits.
Provide membership updates and reports to the Board as needed.
Help ensure members feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the ABD community.
Who would be a good fit?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, is organized and dependable, and is enthusiastic about helping Austin Ballroom Dancers grow. The Membership Director should be comfortable communicating with both current and prospective members and willing to develop new ideas for attracting and retaining members.
This is a one-year volunteer position on the ABD Board of Directors and a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the future and growth of Austin Ballroom Dancers.
